• Coordinate IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary

• Devise and establish IT policies that support the goals of the organization

• Identify security vulnerabilities and reduce risks by deploying strategic solutions that increase data security

• Build relationships with vendors and create cost-efficient contracts to procure IT equipment, software, and services

• Control IT budget and report on related expenditures

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

• Prior experience as an IT Director or similar role

• A proven player-coach familiar with working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with a high sense of urgency

• Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems, specifications and requirements

• Excellent organization and leadership skills, including outstanding communication abilities both verbal and written

• Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.

• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly master technology used in the organization

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

• Strong preference for prior experience with MS Dynamics 365 Education and Experience

• BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field

• At least 10 years of experience in a technical role required, with significant leadership experience

• Masters degree in Business Administration, Operations Research, Computer Science, or equivalent training and experience preferred
